We do not begin a design by sketching a form. We begin by asking what a room is missing — not in terms of furniture, but in terms of feeling. What is the quality of silence this space requires? What does it need in order to become complete?
The form that answers those questions honestly is the form we pursue. Every line that does not serve that answer is removed. What remains is not minimalism for its own sake — it is precision in the service of presence.
This is why Palena pieces are large in scale but restrained in gesture. They do not decorate a room. They anchor it.
