Balteus Sofa
The Balteus is a sofa of considerable presence, wide, low and deeply grounded, with the architectural confidence of a piece that has decided exactly where it belongs.
The exterior frame is crafted from rare Ziricote veneer, its striking, deeply contrasting grain wrapping the structure with a dark, organic richness that commands attention. A single horizontal band of high-polished bronze traces the base of the frame with precise, luminous restraint, a hairline of gold against the darkness of the wood that rewards the eye without interrupting the composition.
The wide, flat armrests extend the architectural footprint of the piece generously, their surface as considered as any element of the design. Within, the seating is deeply cushioned in rich burnt-orange velvet, its warm, tactile depth a striking and confident counterpoint to the darkness of the Ziricote frame.
