Buccina Chair, Polished Bronze
The Buccina is a study in how opposites, when perfectly balanced, create something greater than either could alone.
Its open frame silhouette commands the dining space with architectural confidence, reimagining the boldness of the Art Deco era for a contemporary sensibility. Wide, rectangular, and deliberately exposed, the frame feels simultaneously weightless and profoundly grounded, a presence that anchors a room without enclosing it.
The frame executes a precisely considered dialogue of material contrast. High-polished bronze lines the interior planes of the structure, capturing and amplifying ambient light with a warm, golden luminosity. Against this, the exterior edges are traced in deep obsidian lacquer, absorbing light where the bronze reflects it. The tension between these two finishes gives the Buccina its particular visual energy, neither finish could exist as powerfully without the other.
The seat, backrest and armrests are enveloped in rich, dark Intrecciato leather, its hand-woven surface introducing organic tactile warmth into the cool precision of the metal frame. Breathable and dynamic, the leather adapts to the sitter with ease, ensuring that the Buccina’s striking architectural presence yields completely to lasting physical comfort.
